Students of Southshire Community School in North Bennington, Vermont and their families are raffling off a Thanksgiving feast fit for a king (and his many subjects)!
This is no ordinary Thanksgiving raffle. Two patina oak crates with rope handles (hand crafted by Michael Hamilton) will be filled with two large, 16# free range, hormone-free, pasture raised turkeys from Stonywood Farm in Orwell, VT.
Southshire families will then donate homegrown or homemade items to ensure an old-fashioned holiday experience. Past years delectables have included fresh garden vegetables, popcorn, homemade jams, jellies and chutneys, homemade pies and breads, wine and more. Even the tablecloth, flowers, pot holder and dish towels are included!
Proceeds from this raffle are earmarked for the school’s art program.
Tickets for this amazing two-crate banquet are just $5 each or three for $10. The drawing will be held Friday, November 18th; the winners will be notified that day.
Tickets may be obtained from any Southshire family, by calling Southshire Community School at 802-442-4601, emailing school@southshire.org, mailing to PO Box 865, North Bennington, Vermont or visiting the school at 24 Bank Street in North Bennington.
Enjoy the bounty of the season – Happy Thanksgiving!
